Bio

Ken Luongo will guide the offensive attack as the Hitting Coach of the Raiders.

Coach Luongo was a standout baseball student-athlete at Salem State College where he graduated from in 2009. He was a member of the All-MASCAC 1st Team in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons while being named the 2nd team as a freshman. In his four years, Luongo record a .351 batting average with 21 home runs and 139 runs batted in to go along with 34 doubles in 496 at bats (174 hits). During his senior season in 2008, he finished among the league's top five hitters in five different categories. He belted 8 home runs which placed him third in the MASCAC leader board. He finished second in slugging percentage (.612), third in RBI (43) and on base percentage (.483), fourth in walks (25) and ninth in total bases (71) while leading the Vikings with a .345 batting average. He was also a standout on the mound for Salem State as he went 11-4 over his four seasons. In the summer of 2010, Coach Luongo signed a professional contract as a pitcher with the Saint George Roadrunners of the independent Golden Baseball League where he appeared in six games.

Coach Luongo is currently one of the lead baseball instructors at the Nor'Easters Baseball Facility in Tewksbury, Mass.
