Bio

Entering his 5th year at Rivier University, Phil Massa began his coaching career at Chelmsford High School, where he was the Boys Junior Varsity coach. Massa also coached various Boys Junior Olympic Volleyball teams with the Nor’east and Latitude 42 Volleyball Club programs. Massa was three year starter on the University of Massachusetts Lowell Men’s Club Volleyball team where he earned NECVL All-Conference and All-Tournament team honors in each of those seasons.

At the University of Massachusetts Lowell he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in history and sociology, as well as his Masters degree in curriculum and instruction. Massa is currently a Social Studies teacher at Nashoba Technical High School in Westford, MA.
