Bio

Glenn Murray was a second round draft pick in 1989 by the Montreal Expos. He spent several seasons with the Expos before he was traded to the Boston Red Sox in March of 1994. Murray's stay in the Red Sox organization lasted two seasons before he was dealt to the Philadelphia Phillies where he made his big league debut on May 10, 1996.

Murray is best known in the Nashua area as the All-Time greatest slugger in Nashua Pride history. He joined the Pride in 1999. During the 2000 season, Murray slugged 28 home runs and knocked in 94 as the Pride captured the Atlantic League Championship. In his 8 seasons with the Nashua Pride, Murray had an overall .270 batting average, 163 home runs and 559 RBI, 438 walks and 91 stolen bases in 760 games played.

Since retiring as a player, Murray entered the coaching field becoming the Hitting Coach for the Lancaster Barnstormers in 2007 and the Bridgeport Bluefish in 2008, both teams of the independent Atlantic League.

Murray now resides in Nashua, NH.
