Muldoon Gymnasium
The Muldoon Gymnasium is the home to both the Men's and Women's Basketball programs and the Men's and Women's Volleyball programs. The Gymnasium was originally constructed in 1984 and named after Teresa Muldoon. Teresa Quigley Muldoon of Pelham, New Hampshire was an english teacher in the Nashua school system and a benefactor of Catholic women's colleges. Her generous legacy to Rivier contributes to physical wellbeing within the campus community and is gratefully remembered.
The Gymnasium has undergone major improvements since opening its doors in 1984. The Athletics Department has recently installed new hardwood floors along with state-of-the-art retractable bleachers for spectators. Fans will also notice the new scoreboards located on either side of the court and the shots clocks installed above the basketball hoops.
Throughout the Muldoon's life span, it has played host to numerous Great Northeast Athletic Conference Volleyball Championships, North East Collegiate Volleyball Association Championships and one GNAC Men's Basketball Championship Game (2007). Recently, the Gymnasium served as the host for the 2013 and 2015 "Midnight Madness" game between the Raiders and then cross-town foes, Daniel Webster College.
