Sheehy, Deyarmin name Student Athletes of the Month

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Athletic Department is pleased to announce that freshman Maegan Sheehy (Sabattus, ME) and Junior Collin Deyarmin (Raymond, NH) have been selected as the Student-Athletes of the Month for September 2018.

Female Student-Athlete of the Month: Maegen Sheehy, Women’s Field Hockey

The freshman kicked off her collegiate career with a stellar month.  Starting 9 out of 10 games she tallied 6 goals and 2 assists for a total of 14 points.  In addition, Sheehy was named, The Great Northeast Athletic Conference, “Field Hockey Rookie of the Week” back in September. This is the first such honor for the Raider Field Hockey program this season.

Maegen Sheehy will be back in action this Thursday at 7PM on Raider Field against Becker College.

Male Student-Athlete of the Month: Collin Deyarmin, Men’s Soccer

Deyarmin was chosen as the Male Student-Athlete of the Month:

The Junior Goalkeeper has started in 7 out of 9 matches in the month of September in which he boasts an overall 59 saves to date in his 680+ minutes of play. 

Deyarmin is among the top 5 goalies in the GNAC playing in just 9 appearances for the Raiders. 

This is the second acknowledgement for the Goalie as he was also named GNAC “Rookie of the week” back September of 2016.
