Alex Armstrong, Senior, Men's Soccer

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Department of Athletics has announced that senior Alex Armstrong has been named the Rivier Male Student-Athlete of the Month for October 2016.

The Wakefield, Rhode Island native led the Raiders to a 5 – 5 overall record and a 3 – 3 mark in GNAC play. Armstrong tallied 4 goals and 4 assists for 12 points. He had 21 shots in the 10 game span with 13 on goal. Armstrong had the winning goal in a 3 – 2 GNAC victory on the road for Rivier. Alex's efforts also helped the team reach the GNAC playoffs again for the first time since 2013. Armstrong's production over the season also saw him reach fourth overall in the GNAC for points.
